Backup Storage Facilities uses insulated steel canisters for transporting and storing all forms of data. There are a variety of canisters available to suit all data storage requirements. Each canister has a customised insert that ensures that your data format fits securely.

All canisters are supplied and maintained by Backup Storage Facilities.

The insulation offered protects media against temperature fluctuations and impact shock. Canisters are locked and sealed by the client using locks and security seals. Only the client can access the content of the canister.

Each canister has a unique number that allows for efficient and accurate tracking, storing and recovery processes. Backup Storage Facilities maintains all canisters on an ongoing basis.

The steel canisters are stored in a high-tech steel vault. The vault consists of several large temperature controlled walk-in steel rooms, which are each a separate entity. These rooms are coated with a heat resistant compound, which gives added protection. A limited number of Backup Storage Facilities staff is allowed access to the vault.
